How connected is your team?

We hear a lot about the impact of hybrid working on two things: the ability for teams and organisations to connect; and the ability for them to innovate.

It is sometimes easy to overlook connection, in favour of the ‘holy grail’ of innovation, but to what end?

If we think about connection – what does it really mean?

Is it simply a relationship, or an association? Or is it something deeper: an interdependence; or an interrelated imperative, fundamental to serving a higher goal?

And what is the impact if we are not truly connected as a team?

What are our thoughts?
For us, connection at its simplest form, is all about the relationship, and that starts with the quality of the conversation. True connection is exemplified by the ability to have good face-to-face dialogue. Conversations where we can debate, challenge, ask tough questions, listen to others’ point of view and agree to disagree yet align in our way forward, in service of our strategy.
